Go get tickets! You want to do this. Really! You can stop reading the review and just go get your tickets.
I'll wait.
So as you might of guessed I really enjoyed this exhibit.
It is composed of series of puzzles that you solve to unravel a story and ride in a time machine (It is not bigger on the inside). I don't want to say too much because this is really something you need to experience for yourself. The amount of time and attention that went into the this is a little awe inspiring.
The lighting and the props all contribute to a really fun and interactive experience. You are put into groups of six people - so you and your friends need to buy tickets for the same time slot. I went by myself so I was paired up with another couple and a group of three friends.

They do a good job of starting you off with an easy puzzle at the introduction to give you the flavor of things. There are lab assistants present that can confirm you really have solved the puzzles, which takes away a lot of frustration. The puzzles do vary in difficulty and skills set required for the solution, but they are all solvable and pretty fun.
My advice is that you will likely need to split up to solve them all. If you find yourself getting stuck or if the puzzle really can't be worked by the whole group then that is a good time to split up. Talk to your partners - several times the act of just saying things out loud inspired the group I was with. Explore, explore explore! There are clues, hints, and needed resources everywhere. But remember follow the rules! I hope you have as much fun as I did.
Entrance to the exhibit is through the loading dock in the rear and most parking is in that area to so you will want to turn right on Penn Street (off of New York Ave)
The exhibit is found off the alley which is the first turn on your left (right goes to 4th street) The building/loading dock is on the left-hand side of the alley.
Note for migraine sufferers: There are some flashing/bright lights
No bags or food are permitted in the exhibit
