• The unconventional convention. A general science fiction fantasy con with a long history.

Wednesday

• DC Independent Film Festival - Washington, D.C. - Wednesday - Sunday
• Everyone geeks out on something different, and the passion it takes to create an independent film is no different. The oldest independent film festival in D.C. starts this Wednesday and runs through Sunday, February 23. Documentaries, short films, and animation are all represented. Tickets are $50 for Saturday or Sunday, or $140 for the entire festival.

Thursday

• DCGN at Labyrinth Games! - Washington, D.C. - 6 PM
• Boooooooard Games
• The Knights of Badassdom - Fairfax, VA - 9 PM
• Another opportunity to see this movie, which people have had amazing things to say about, in theaters

Saturday

• Magic of Spying: Tradecraft Trickery - Washington, D.C. - 2 PM
• The art of combining magic with spying. Sounds pretty fantastic.
• BSO & George Takei Sci-Fi Spectacular - Baltimore, MD - 8 PM
• Themes from your favorite Sci Fi properties, featuring Mr. Ohhh Myyyyy himself
